Atif Aslam NOT Getting Replaced From Sweetie Desai Weds NRI

Amidst of all the chaos of banning Pakistani artistes from Bollywood, heres a little piece of good news for all the fans of the Pehli Nazar Mein singer Atif Aslam. Atif’s voice will NOT be replaced from the song Musafir in Himansh Kohli and Zoya Afroz starrer Sweetie Desai Weds NRI.

The film’s director, Hasnain Hyderabadwala, confirmed the news and said, “As of now, we are not replacing Atif’s voice from the song. In fact, our producers are not even thinking about it as we recorded the track in March 2016 when we had no trace of this controversy. Things were very much normal then.”

The track was sent to Atif and he recorded the song in Karachi. Palak Muchhal has co-sung the song with Atif.

The melancholic number is also dubbed by Arijit and the production house is getting ready to release both the versions. When asked if they will sign Atif again for another song in future, he said, “Right now the situation is different. But we are not in denial mode.”

According to Hasnain, its not right to blame an artiste for everything that goes wrong in the country. “Things have changed very suddenly and they have been asked to go home. Even if the Pakistani artistes want to take a stand on something, we need to understand they belong to a country where things are very different as compared to India,” he reasoned.
